Hertfordshire County Council’s Health Walks start and finish at the Caledon Community Centre on the 1st Tuesday of each month and every Thursday morning.

After the walk, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the community centre for a small donation or why not stay and join our lunch club?

The sports and recreation area in Napsury Park is maintained and operated by the Parish Council and provides an excellent venue for cricket, football, tennis, netball, and other activities.

In addition to the sports pitches and the Multi-Use Games Area, the park has a modern sports pavilion which provides changing rooms, a function room with kitchen facilities and an outdoor paved patio area, with adjacent car parking.

When not in use for pre-booked sports activities the pavilion is available to hire for special events such as children’s parties.

The paddling pool is located in Morris Playing Fields on White Horse Lane adjacent to the children’s play area.

The pool is normally open from the end of May until September, weather dependent, It is free of charge and open to children under 12, with toilet facilities and benches.

Parking is free.

The Parish Council maintain a number of children’s play areas throughout the village. They are located at:

  • Halsey Park (Tots playground)
  • Walsingham Way
  • Morris Playing Fields, White Horse Lane
  • Caledon Road
  • Shenley Lane

In addition to the usual playground equipment there are additional facilities at:

  • Walsingham Way – Giant slide
  • Morris Playing Fields – Paddling Pool adjacent to playground
  • Shenley Lane – Trim Trail & Zip line on field adjacent to playground
There are numerous footpaths within the parish and these are described in two booklets (Footpath Walks from London Colney and Longer Footpath Walks from London Colney) which are available in the parish office. They are due to be revised in the near future. There is a programme of improvement and extension of the footpath network under consideration and some thought is being given to the provision of cycle tracks
